Workday Financials Consultant – All Levels

• Provide expert guidance and delivery on all project engagements. • Manage to the agreed budget and delivering the project profitably. • Collaborate with clients to optimize their HR and Finance functions.

Job Requirements

  • Provide expertise in the Workday Financial product suite.
  • Ability to scope (determine functional elements) at least 1 financial module based on client requirements.
  • Determine the required architecture and consulting level of effort as well as client resource efforts.
  • Serve as architect in the following lifecycle activities: gather and document client business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to clients, and defining support procedures.
  • Work with client/data conversion team to convert legacy data into Workday securely.
  • Outline data collection requirements for client, assessing data volume, frequency, and latency constraints.
  • Assess, strategize and manage Workday deployments for organizations across the globe.
  • Design and deliver future-ready Workday solutions to help organizations optimize their HR and Finance functions and enhance their employees’ experiences.
  • Lead in architecting Workday Financials solution to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated.
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices by facilitating clients’ intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of a Workday Financials roadmap throughout the implementation lifecycle and post-production support, enhancing clients’ Workday journey through new feature and SKU adoption.
  • Demonstrate design options by the use of prototyping.
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption.

  • 2+ years implementing Workday's Financial, Procurement and/or Expense Management solutions.
  • Experience with Core Financials: FDM, Accounting, Budgets, Planning/Adaptive, Banking and Settlement, Financial Reporting.
  • 2+ years of functional financial management expertise with Workday Financials specifically implementing Cash Management/Banking and Business Assets, Spend: Suppliers, Procurement, Assets, Expenses, Inventory, Revenue: Customers, Projects.
  • Experience implementing other functionality in procure-to-pay, order-to-cash or record -to-report is a plus.
  • At least two end-to-end Workday Financial implementations.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying Financial, Procurement, or other related ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in business process analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Knowledgeable of consulting KPIs, including utilization, forecasting, billable rates and margins, indirect labor and overhead, as well as profit and loss statements.
  • CPA and/or advanced Accounting degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
  • Experience deploying multiple Financial projects simultaneously.
  • Expected travel is +/-30% depending on the project(s).
