Role Description We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with deep Microsoft Azure expertise to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our enterprise Azure cloud platform. This highly influential role is responsible for enterprise Azure architecture, Landing Zones, Well-Architected governance, platform reliability, FinOps, disaster recovery, AI-driven operations, and engineering standards supporting mission-critical logistics systems. - Architect and govern enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure platforms with multi-region resilience and zero single points of failure - Lead Azure Landing Zone architecture, governance, networking, security, and platform standards - Drive Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews and engineering best practices - Build enterprise Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines - Lead Azure networking, identity, security, and platform observability using Azure-native services and Dynatrace - Establish FinOps practices using Azure Cost Management, tagging, budgets, and optimization strategies - Own disaster recovery and business continuity using Azure-native resilience services - Drive AI-powered cloud operations, automation, and intelligent platform engineering - Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, and define enterprise cloud strategy Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (or equivalent practical experience) - 10+ years designing enterprise cloud infrastructure - 7+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure platforms - Proven experience delivering Azure Landing Zones, governance, networking, identity, and security at enterprise scale - Deep expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, monitoring, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Azure DevOps, and CI/CD - Experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework, FinOps, disaster recovery, and platform reliability - Strong technical leadership with experience influencing architecture across engineering teams Requirements - AWS or Google Cloud Platform experience (Azure remains the primary platform) - Multi-cloud Terraform and cloud-agnostic Infrastructure as Code - Identity federation (Microsoft Entra ID, OIDC, SAML) - Observability platforms such as Dynatrace or Datadog - FinOps and enterprise cloud cost optimization Certifications - Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-700) - Terraform Associate or Professional - FinOps Practitioner / FinOps Certified Engineer - AWS or GCP certifications welcomed for multi-cloud experience Benefits - This role is eligible for a bonus that is based on a combination of personal and business performance - For more information about our benefit offerings, please visit our careers page at Echo Careers
