Thermal Scientific Works
• Manage Preventative Maintenance and Service schedules. • Perform on-site quality Control for the installation of Thermal Works products • Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients • Be available to take emergency issues when on call. • Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule • Collaboration with different departments within the company for product development and improvement • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of thermal works equipment. • 50% travel requirement within the United States.
Job Requirements
- 608 EPA certification
- Experience in Mechanical Critical Infrastructure Service and Maintenance
- Base line circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- knowledge of hydronic systems
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems
- Understand refrigeration theory as well as hands-on applied sciences
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Ability to read drawings at a basic level
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day

Role Description Reporting to the Field Services Manager/Supervisor, the Senior Field Service Technician’s primary function is the installation, repair, maintenance and management of both Sharp and Pregis Packaging Systems/Equipment, with a predominate focus on Pregis’ automation equipment. In addition to assisting with the equipment needs of their customers, it is the responsibility of Pregis Senior Field Service Technicians to effectively communicate with both external customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, and Service) about technical and non-technical information. This job is fully remote and based out of your assigned territory or regional area. Daily local and remote travel Monday to Friday to customer sites. Overtime as required. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Ensures high-quality service by minimizing errors, preventing equipment damage, and reducing customer callbacks and dissatisfaction. - Performs inspections and advises customers on methods to minimize downtime and operational interruptions. - Coordinates complex equipment installations and ensures proper system functionality through customer follow-up. - Serves as technical expert on assigned products, resolving complex issues and maintaining deep knowledge of functions and applications. - Trains, mentors, and supports customers and field service staff in advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Analyzes equipment performance and executes debugging and correction of operating procedures. - Supports field testing of new products, updates, and change orders, including performance analysis and reporting. - Prepares accurate and complete service documentation, reports, and required paperwork. - Manages and maintains control of parts and service tool inventory with accurate recordkeeping. Qualifications - Associate degree with a strong mechanical-electrical background (Preferred). - 5+ years of experience in field service, assembler, or factory service engineering roles; or hands-on work experience in field service or related technical environments. - Electro-mechanical skills and ability to read blueprints/manuals/electrical schematics. - Strong electrical troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance skills. Preferable experience with HMIs, PLCs and vision systems. - Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers at all levels. - Ability to work successfully with little to no direct supervision. - Effective time management and cost control skills. Requirements - A clean driving record is required (company car is provided). - Availability to travel daily Monday to Friday within assigned territory. - Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. - Walking extended distances. - Standing for extended times up to 75% of the day. - This role requires up to 75% travel. Role Description As a Maritime IT Field Service Technician at Global Satcoms, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and on-site services to maritime clients across various regions. This includes the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite communication systems, IT infrastructure, and networking equipment aboard commercial vessels, offshore platforms, and maritime assets. - Conduct field installations, upgrades, and commissioning of VSAT systems (C/Ku/Ka-band), Starlink, and L-band terminals (e.g., FleetBroadband, Iridium Certus). - Perform IT systems integration including onboard LAN/WAN setup, IP networking, firewall configuration, and cybersecurity compliance checks. - Provide hands-on technical support for onboard IT systems, including routers, switches, servers, Wi-Fi access points, and IoT maritime equipment. - Collaborate with NOC teams and remote engineering support to diagnose and resolve connectivity and system performance issues. - Complete site surveys, service reports, handover documents, and technical documentation in accordance with Global Satcoms’ standards. - Ensure all safety protocols and client-specific requirements are followed during onboard interventions. - Maintain communication with vessel agents, ship operators, and logistics teams to coordinate travel, tools, and spare parts for interventions. - Provide customer training and onboard support during handover when necessary. Qualifications - Proven experience in field engineering or maritime IT support roles (minimum 2 years preferred). - Strong knowledge of maritime VSAT, L-band, and hybrid satellite systems. - Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices. - Familiarity with maritime regulations (IMO, ISPS) and onboard IT environment. - Ability to read technical diagrams and interpret system schematics. - Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills. - Fluent in English; other languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic) are a plus. - Valid seafarer’s medical (ENG1 or equivalent) and willingness to travel globally on short notice.
