Alle Betroffenen, die selbst keine digitale Gewalt verbreiten, können sich an die Beratung von HateAid wenden. In ausgewählten Fällen unterstützen wir Betroffene zudem bei der Durchsetzung ihrer Rechtsansprüche. In digitaler Gewalt sehen wir eine große Gefahr für die Demokratie. Deswegen wollen wir die Grundvoraussetzungen für Menschen, die digitale Gewalt erleben, nachhaltig verbessern, etwa über Veränderungen im Straf- und Zivilrecht oder im Verbraucherschutz. Dazu stehen wir in regelmäßigem Austausch mit Politik, Strafverfolgungsbehörden sowie Plattformbetreibenden und veröffentlichen Positionspapiere sowie Stellungnahmen. Mittels Kampagnen, Aktionen und Medienarbeit adressieren wir das Thema digitale Gewalt gegenüber einer breiten Öffentlichkeit. Vielfalt ist uns wichtig und unsere Organisation befindet sich im stetigen Prozess, ein möglichst sicherer Ort für alle Menschen zu werden – hierfür dürfen wir noch viel lernen und umdenken.
