Role Description The Master Solution Architect serves as a lead to provide expertise and guidance on the overall SAP Technology Infrastructure as it relates to IT and business strategies. They evaluate, develop and maintain SAP infrastructure roadmap to reduce overall complexity and increase cost efficiency. They maintain expertise in the area of SAP architecture including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure corporate assets are optimized. Qualifications - Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree. - Must have secret clearance. - Nine (9) or more years experience in SAP or other ERP equivalent COTS. - Knowledgeable in: - SAP Basis, Security, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, and Change/Memory/Workload Management within SAP CCMS. - HP-UX UNIX, Oracle RDBMS and Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms. - Web Infrastructure and NetWeaver Architecture. - Adept with SAP Data Dictionary, SAP Solution Manager, Transport management and Oracle physical design for SAP. - SAP Sizing, Workload characterization and Capacity Planning experience. - Domain and expert technical knowledge. - Technical/management leadership skills. Requirements - Knowledge of and experience with DoD and specifically Navy ERP. - Focus on customer service and responsiveness, with sound customer handling skills. - Previous knowledge or work experience with CRS/CS/IPAC/CIR Navy Systems. - Familiar with Navy and/or DoD IT architectures. - Federal experience. - Possesses Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in one or more SAP functional area/module. Tasks - Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. - Plan and lead major technology assignments. - Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. - Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. - Supervise and lead staff of various levels.

Role Description We are looking for a seasoned ABAP Technical Consultant to join our SAP ECC support team as an Individual Contributor. This is a hands-on technical role focused on system stability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across a complex SAP landscape. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced support environment, takes full ownership of technical problems, and delivers solutions independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: - System Support & Issue Resolution: - Serve as the primary technical resource for SAP ECC system issues, ensuring timely diagnosis and resolution of incidents, defects, and service requests. - Investigate and resolve production issues related to ABAP programs, batch jobs, interfaces, and system performance. - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence. - Monitor and maintain system health, proactively identifying risks before they escalate into outages. - Support system migrations and environment transitions, including: - Linux to Unix platform changes. - Oracle to SQL Server database migrations. - Collaborate with Basis and infrastructure teams during environment changes, patches, and upgrades. - ABAP Development & Maintenance: - Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP objects across the full RICEF spectrum. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented ABAP code following best practices and coding standards. - Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development guidelines. - Debug complex ABAP programs using SAP Debugger, including breakpoints, watchpoints, and runtime analysis. - IDoc Management & Interface Support: - Handle end-to-end IDoc troubleshooting - inbound and outbound processing. - Diagnose and resolve IDoc errors in WE02, WE05, BD87, and related transactions. - Manage partner profiles, message types, process codes, and port configurations. - Support EDI/ALE interface issues and coordinate with middleware/integration teams where applicable. - Develop and maintain custom IDoc extensions and processing function modules. - Database & Platform Support: - Work across Oracle and SQL Server database environments to support ABAP programs with native SQL, Open SQL, and database-specific tuning. - Assist in identifying and resolving database-level performance issues impacting ABAP programs. - Support technical activities during database platform transitions (Oracle → SQL Server). - Collaborate with DBAs on query optimization, table buffering, and index analysis. - OS-Level Collaboration (Linux/Unix): - Coordinate with infrastructure teams on Linux and Unix environments for job scheduling, file transfers, and system-level troubleshooting. - Understand shell scripting basics to support file-based interface debugging. - Assist in resolving OS-level issues that impact SAP batch jobs and background processing. - Support Operations: - Manage and prioritize tickets through the ITSM/ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent). - Adhere to SLA commitments for incident, problem, and change management. - Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during critical business periods. - Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specs, technical specs, and runbooks. - Communicate clearly and proactively with business stakeholders and functional teams on issue status and resolution timelines.
