Marketing Intern – Fixed Term

• Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple channels. • Support the coordination of marketing projects and day-to-day activities. • Help maintain project timelines, task lists and marketing trackers. • Assist with campaign rollouts and follow-up activities. • Schedule social media content using Hootsuite or similar platforms. • Assist with creating and uploading content across digital platforms. • Help maintain content calendars and posting schedules. • Monitor social media engagement and escalate enquiries where required. • Assist with basic website content updates. • Perform quality checks on website pages, links and content. • Support SEO-related activities and online content improvements. • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and marketing opportunities. • Assist with sourcing information for blogs, campaigns and presentations. • Maintain accurate marketing trackers, spreadsheets and reporting information. • Support general marketing administration and documentation. • Assist with updating marketing collateral and presentations. • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers where required. • Provide general administrative support to the Brand Manager and Marketing team.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Brand Management or a related field (completed or currently studying final year).
  • Up to 2 years' marketing experience (internships and practical work experience will be considered).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Canva and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable learning and using digital marketing tools.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Role Description This is a pro-bono volunteer position. Jersey STEM is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to offering innovative opportunities and bridging the gender gap in STEM education for children in New Jersey’s underserved communities. We are dedicated to partnering with local schools, parents, and educators to create and enhance STEM-oriented educational opportunities for students in grades 5-8 as part of their paths towards college and career readiness. Classes include: - Robotics - Coding - Engineering - Life Sciences Classes last up to 10 weeks and are predominantly taught by trained volunteer college students. - Responsible for translating brand strategy into powerful and purposeful creative concepts, with the goal of elevating JerseySTEM’s visual brand identity across all verticals. - Partners with CRPE, COME and CLGE marketing leads to support all creative needs. - Operates cross-functionally with various stakeholders. - Leads a team of creatives including but not limited to Designers, Copywriters, Editors, and Project Managers. - Recruits and maintains a ready-team of external creatives that can be leveraged as needed based on project pipeline and project-specific creative skill-sets. - Works with the Head of Marketing to address cross-functional stakeholder needs. - Owns the historical documentation of all creative marketing processes and responsibilities by creating artifact materials for the JerseySTEM knowledge hub.
