We're undergoing a massive transformation, fueled by a bold three-year strategy to aggressively grow our lending business. • Achieve is seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and transformative leader to serve as the Head of Capital Markets. • This role will own the strategic multi-year funding roadmap to support our growth at Achieve, reporting directly to the President of Achieve Lending. • You will transform our Capital Markets activities into a world-class, programmatic effort that aligns institutional investor demand with credit risk, origination types, and liquidity targets. • You will define the performance plan for loan sales and securitization, maintaining full accountability for these outcomes. • Design and guide Achieve's funding stack as a diversified asset portfolio, optimizing across four core pillars: Cost of Capital, Certainty of Takeout, Capacity, and Resilience. • Partner with technology to transform legacy funding processes to a dynamic, automated Capital Allocation Engine. • Oversee construction of an institutional-grade unified loan data warehouse and a self-service investor reporting portal.
Job Requirements
- 12+ Years of Senior Experience: Deep tenure within consumer structured finance, investment banking, asset management, or fintech capital markets platforms, including 3-5+ years leading the Capital Markets function.
- Proven Track Record: Tangible history of managing programmatic ABS platforms, negotiating committed forward-flow and warehouse facilities, and managing through complex liquidity environments.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline. An MBA, CFA, or advanced degree in quantitative finance is highly preferred.
- Technical & Leadership Competencies: Distinguished Expert: Equal parts Wall Street transaction experience and modern data-driven strategist. You possess deep familiarity with structural waterfalls, stress simulations, and advanced modeling. Owner Mindset: Proven ability to manage outcomes, treat investor demand as a managed portfolio, and tie capital markets outcomes directly to long-term enterprise value creation. Transparent Communicator: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a leadership philosophy rooted in proactive transparency to create trust internally and with external partners. People & Culture Leader: Experience building high-performing, cross-functional teams across Investor Relations, Structuring, Investor Reporting & Data, Loan Products & Capital Strategy, and Risk & Portfolio Surveillance while fostering a results-oriented culture focused on rapid execution and strategic impact.
