Senior Business Developer Manager
Ameresco
• Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities for turnkey energy solutions including energy efficiency, renewable energy, distributed generation, microgrids, and performance contracting • Develop and execute market and account plans to achieve annual sales and growth objectives • Build and maintain advisory relationships with County Judges, Commissioners Courts, City Managers, CFOs, and executive stakeholders across public sector clients • Lead proposal strategy and development, coordinating internally with engineering, finance, and development teams • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and written proposals • Represent Ameresco at executive forums, industry conferences, and public sector events to advance market presence and thought leadership • Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in alignment with customer objectives and Ameresco standards • Serve as primary customer contact during the sales process and support transition to project execution teams • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM systems
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years progressive local experience marketing construction services, consulting services, energy efficiency, or renewable technology
- Proven experience influencing and leading sales and project development teams in Arizona
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sustainability, engineering, economics, finance, environmental science or business or Advanced Education (i.e., MS, MBA) preferred
- Proven successful business development experience cultivating, developing, and securing customers and projects in South or Southwestern US
- Demonstrated sales track record, including executive business decision-maker contacts, C-level sales, advanced negotiation, deal structuring, and sales contract experience
- Proven ability to analyze and pre-qualify customer value
- Superior financial planning, budgeting, organizational and resource management abilities
- Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, people and business relationships
- Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by state of residence
