Job Description

Program Coordinator – YSP

The Ohio State University, Main Campus

• Work closely with the Program Director and a team of Young Scholars Program Coordinators. • Develop, plan, implement, and manage initiatives to prepare students for post-secondary education. • Educate YSP students and families about colleges and the college admissions process. • Create personalized academic plans that meet Ohio State admissions standards. • Develop and implement a curriculum for monthly cohort workshops. • Organize and oversee events, field trips, and award ceremonies. • Maintain consistent communication with participating scholars and parents.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Direct experience with limited-income students in city-based secondary or post-secondary settings.
  • Strong knowledge of effective practices for engaging students in metropolitan communities.
  • Solid understanding of current issues and trends affecting pre-K-12 city schools.
  • Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation background checks.
