Role Description We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineering Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in mentoring, assessing, and developing their direct reports within the Small and Medium Business sales organization. This role involves working closely with sales leadership, support, and engineering teams to identify pain points and coverage issues across Commercial and Mid-market regions. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing best practices, conducting technical capability reviews, and fostering effective communication to improve the Varonis platform. Key Responsibilities - Mentor, assess, and develop SMB Regional Sales Engineers to ensure high performance and professional growth. - Manage simultaneous high-value SMB projects through the various phases of the sales cycle. - Collaborate with sales leadership, support, and engineering teams to identify pain points and coverage issues. - Identify and bridge gaps in product documentation and configuration to improve the deployment experience. - Assist in developing and implementing best practices for the team and the wider organization. - Conduct technical capability reviews to ensure the highest standards are maintained. - Establish and maintain clear lines of communication with Engineering and Product Management to continuously improve the Varonis Platform. - Drive innovation and improvement within the team and the organization. - Provide periodic performance reviews and handle personnel issues. Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year College or Technical School AND 3-5 years of experience in a customer facing role OR equivalent combination of education and experience. - Proven experience in leading and developing a team. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues effectively. - Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration across departments. - Self-starter with a goal-driven mindset and a history of achieving success. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in the software industry or Technical Sales Engineering. - Prior experience leading or mentoring Sales Engineers supporting SMB or Commercial Customers. - Familiarity with Salesforce and various Microsoft Applications. - Experience partnering closely with Sales Leadership to drive technical win rates and revenue growth.
