Job Description
Web Designer
Cabify
Title: Web Designer Location: Madrid Job Description: Move cities forward with us At Cabify, we’re working to make cities better places to live. We believe mobility should be more accessible, efficient and sustainable, helping people move through their day with more freedom and fewer barriers. We connect people and businesses with the transport options they need, while working towards a future where cities depend less on private cars and more on shared, smarter ways of moving. There’s still a long way to go, and design has an important role to play in shaping that future. Want to join us? The design team The design team sits within Cabify’s Technology area, alongside Engineering, Product and Data. That means we work closely with the teams shaping, building and measuring our products, and that design has a direct voice in decisions that affect both the user experience and business impact. We’re a team of 20 people spread across different locations in Spain, with most of us based in Madrid. The team is organised into three main groups: Product Design, Design System/Web and Core Design. Across all three, we partner closely with technical teams as well as stakeholders in Growth, Business and Marketing, bringing together product, brand, communications, systems and experience. Our work blends execution, craft and collaboration. We design experiences across the Cabify ecosystem, evolve our design system, maintain consistency across our interfaces and brands, and make sure our solutions are grounded in real user needs, business opportunities and meaningful product problems. We also stay close to emerging technologies and ways of working, continuously testing new tools, processes and practices that can help us design better and move smarter. We also have our own design rituals to share knowledge, raise the bar and keep our design culture strong: monthly Design Meetings, quarterly Design Days, weekly critiques and glues, where we align on solutions, spot shared patterns and stay connected as a team. We see ourselves as a high-standards, down-to-earth and committed team, always looking to learn, share and improve together. Designing at Cabify means having autonomy, but also being part of a community that sees design as a collective practice, closely connected to technology, business and everyday life in cities. The role As a Web Designer at Cabify, you'll work within the Technology area in the Design System/Web Team, partnering closely with Marketing, Growth and Brand teams. Your focus will be on evolving the visual and interactive quality of cabify.com and other brand websites, while contributing to a coherent web design system. We're looking for a hybrid profile, someone who is equally comfortable designing and building. You'll own your work end-to-end, from concept to implementation, writing clean HTML and CSS as part of your everyday craft The day-to-day work of a Web Designer at Cabify is a balance between iterating and evolving our sites, proposing and executing new initiatives alongside different stakeholders, and systematising visual and code solutions. Some examples of projects you could work on: - Design and build new product acquisition and awareness pages on cabify.com and other brand websites across all countries. - Evolve the design of our websites, including corporate, PR, legal and campaign sections. - Contribute to design reviews, participate in critiques and glues, and offer constructive feedback. - Identify opportunities to raise the visual and interaction quality bar across web touchpoints. - Evolve patterns, components and criteria in the Web Design System. - Explore new tools, processes and ways of working, including AI-driven workflows. - Share knowledge with the wider design team. What we’re looking for If you’re interested, we think you could be a great fit if you have: - Strong alignment with our principles. - Interest in a hybrid working model, with 3 days a week from our Madrid office and 2 days working remotely. On top of that, we offer 6 weeks a year to work fully remotely, split into 3 weeks per semester. - A solid design process, from problem understanding to final implementation, with attention to visual quality and consistency. - Strong visual and interaction design skills to help people navigate and engage with web experiences in a simple and intuitive way. - The ability to create visual experiences that are not only useful, but also build emotion and connection with users, shaping perception and influencing behaviour. - Strong knowledge of web design constraints, HTML and CSS, and experience designing and building web experiences. - A user-centred and data-informed design mindset, with an eye on business impact. - Curiosity for new tools and processes, especially around AI-driven workflows and automation. At Cabify, we provide the space, tools and resources — including access to models and tokens — so the team can explore, learn and create real impact in their work. - Clear and concise communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to explain design decisions, connect different perspectives and act as a bridge between technical and non-technical disciplines. - And most importantly, a humble attitude, motivation to work with a passionate team, and the ability to receive feedback and think critically about your own work. For sure, you don't need to check all the boxes to be a good match. The offer We’re a company full of happy, motivated people and we never want that to change. Here are some more reasons why it rocks to be part of our family: Excellent Salary conditions: L2 [31K - 38K€] Recharge days! (10 Free Fridays annually) Our office is located in Madrid. Flexible work environment & hours. Regular team events. Cabify staff free rides. Personal development programs based on our career paths.
