Job Description

Facility Condition Advisor

Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.

• Perform comprehensive visual assessments of building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety components • Document existing conditions, deficiencies, and operational performance of facility assets using standardized assessment methodologies and industry best practices • Evaluate remaining useful life of building systems and components, applying engineering and architectural design standards to determine replacement timing and priorities • Generate detailed cost estimates for capital repairs, replacements, and renewals to support client budget planning and strategic decision-making • Utilize specialized assessment software platforms (VFA facility by Gordian, FOScore by CannonDesign, and Corrigo) to capture, analyze, and report facility condition data • Collaborate with multidisciplinary assessment teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of all building systems and accurate reporting of findings • Conduct on-site field work that requires extended periods of walking, climbing ladders, and accessing mechanical spaces and building infrastructure areas • Prepare clear, professional assessment reports and presentations that translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for clients

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field; equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant professional experience will be considered
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility assessments, building systems evaluation, or related architectural/engineering field
  • Proficiency in applying engineering and architectural design standards, practices, and techniques to facility condition assessments
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial construction codes and their application to existing facilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, analysis, and reporting
  • US citizenship is required for this position
  • Physical capability to walk up to 8 hours per day as required by the role
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and push up to 75 lbs regularly
