Job Description

Power Plant Commissioning Advisor

Switzerland Global Enterprise

• Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and execution strategies • Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams • Support the development of system turnover and start-up plans • Lead and supervise commissioning personnel, subcontractors, and field teams • Oversee the testing, inspection, and validation of plant systems • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical or operational issues encountered during commissioning and start-up • Ensure systems are commissioned efficiently and are ready for safe and reliable operation • Ensure commissioning procedures, test records, punch lists, and turnover documentation are completed accurately and maintained properly • Prepare regular progress updates, reports, and technical findings • Maintain clear records of system status, deficiencies, and resolutions throughout the commissioning process • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements • Serve as a key point of contact between clients, contractors, partners, and regulatory representatives during commissioning activities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • Minimum of 3 years of commissioning experience in the power generation industry, with specific experience in combined cycle power plants
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the Americas for long-term assignments up to 100%
  • Strong leadership and project coordination skills at Installation/construction sites
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural project teams
