In this role, you’ll work closely with experienced Solution Architects, product managers, and engineering teams to help design and deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and high-quality solutions that meet real customer and business needs. - Contribute to solution architecture for new and existing capabilities by translating requirements into well-reasoned design proposals. - Support architectural reviews and help ensure solutions align with established patterns and standards. - Provide hands-on exposure to cloud-based application design and data-rich, integrated systems. - Build fluency in key non-functional considerations such as performance, security, reliability, and data integrity. - Use AI-assisted tools to support architectural analysis, explore design options, assess trade-offs, and improve documentation. - Collaborate with teams across Product, Engineering, CloudOps, Infrastructure, and Security. - Help teams adopt AI in practical, responsible ways, ensuring designs remain transparent and aligned with customer trust, governance, and compliance expectations. At Vena, innovation is driven by a focus on customer outcomes and continuous improvement. This role is a strong fit if you enjoy learning through real-world problem solving, working in a fast-moving SaaS environment, and growing your impact as a solution architect. Requirements - Participate with Product Management, domain experts, senior architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to support, evolve, and deliver solution architecture for cloud-based SaaS features. - Collaborate with Engineering teams to design pragmatic solutions that balance functional requirements with performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. - Participate in reviewing engineering designs and implementations to validate alignment with approved solution architecture. - Contribute to the creation and maintenance of clear, accurate architecture artifacts and decision records. - Communicate architectural concepts and changes effectively, supporting engineers through design reviews and knowledge sharing. - Participate in architecture governance activities, contributing to the application and adoption of standards and best practices. - Help ensure architectural recommendations are well-reasoned, consistent, and aligned with platform strategy. - Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and architectural practices. - Leverage modern tooling, including AI-assisted research and analysis, to support architectural exploration. - Contribute to a culture of innovation by helping teams experiment responsibly. Benefits - The base salary range for this role is 127,500 - 172,500 CAD. - Salaries are tailored to roles, levels, and locations, influenced by factors like work location, skills, experience, and education. - Compensation may adapt as you progress in your role, offering flexibility for growth beyond initial levels.
