Principal Solution Engineer
Protegrity
• Conduct in-depth discovery, data-flow mapping, and documentation of customer environments, both on-site and remotely. • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to stakeholders including C-level executives, developers, DBAs, IT security, and other technical or business audiences. • Lead and manage Proof-of-Concepts, contribute to RFI/RFP responses, and validate customer requirements through hands-on technical engagement. • Architect, install, and configure Protegrity software solutions tailored to customer needs and deployment environments. • Create detailed solution design and project planning documents using standardized formats. • Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and professional services to align technical activities with customer outcomes. • Mentor other Solution Engineers and Services personnel while continuing to build your own expertise through certifications, hands-on labs, and current knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity trends. • Regularly use cloud labs across AWS, Azure, and GCP to validate capabilities, support customer scenarios, and maintain accurate records in CRM and other presales applications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, such as 4+ years in a similar technical role.
- 8+ years of experience in solution engineering, consulting, presales, or technical advisory roles across data, security, privacy, AI, or adjacent enterprise software domains.
- Demonstrated success leading technical engagements in complex enterprise environments, from discovery and architecture through technical validation and executive alignment.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP, hybrid deployment models, and modern containerized architectures.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and related deployment patterns, with the ability to discuss, validate, and troubleshoot container-based solutions with technical stakeholders.
- Practical understanding of how enterprises use data across analytics, applications, and AI workflows, including GenAI, RAG, copilots, or agentic systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to engage both C-level executives and deep technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, a consultative mindset, business outcome orientation, and the adaptability to keep learning emerging technologies, especially AI-driven architectures and the security, privacy, and governance challenges they create.
