Strategic Marketing Manager – OEM
Rockwell Automation
• Define and support OEM segment marketing strategies based on machine builder requirements, technology trends, and application needs. • Analyze applications, use cases, machine and equipment trends, and industry developments to identify gaps, uncover opportunities, and define competitive positioning that strengthens marketing campaigns. • Use relationships with key OEMs to understand their challenges, machine design requirements, and standardization needs, and develop targeted co-marketing strategies. • Partner with portfolio marketing teams to position offerings for OEMs by communicating their technical and lifetime value in alignment with desired outcomes. • Contribute to use-case definition, creation of case studies and solution frameworks for key OEM segments. • Collaborate with marketing teams on trade shows, technical content, and customer-facing materials, ensuring engineering relevance and accuracy. • Help evaluate strategic marketing initiatives and investments by assessing OEM adoption, technical fit, and market impact. • Contribute to planning and prioritization of OEM-focused marketing initiatives and resource allocation. • Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Business Units to align on OEM priorities and support marketing campaign execution. • Gather direct and indirect feedback from OEMs and machine builders, translating it into actionable insights for marketing activities development in the campaign. • Support development of the Rockwell Automation Industry Strategic Plan (BSR).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required
- Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, MBA preferred
- Typically requires 5+ years of marketing experience in OEM marketing or product marketing
- Substantial experience in the OEM space for the automation market, including selling to OEMs.
- Experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the OEM segment.
- 5+ years of experience with the OEM industry, including key players and market trends.
- In-depth knowledge of the Discrete, Hybrid, and Process sectors.
