If the idea of bringing your skills to bear upon an ever-changing landscape of games in collaboration with teams all over the world sounds exciting to you...well, continue reading my friend. - Act as a primary design point of contact for external partner studios, driving collaborative efforts and ensuring alignment of vision and execution across distributed teams. - Drive the conceptualization, documentation, and macro-level vision of levels, spaces, missions, and gameplay experiences. - Drive the development and iteration of pipelines, processes, and tools to elevate the efficiency and quality of the entire design team. - Drive cross-functional strike teams to achieve end-user experience goals, proactively identifying and resolving project-wide blockers. - Lead by example in grey-boxing, pacing, layout beats, scripting, encounters, and gameplay implementation, setting the gold standard for the studio. - Spearhead testing, debugging, level performance, streaming, and optimization strategies. - Drive the vision for environmental storytelling, world building, tone, setting, and art propping. - Act as a champion for the discipline, actively accountable for driving results and owning specific project mandates. - Be a foundational source of knowledge, providing high-level mentorship to Associate and Core designers to foster a culture of excellence. Qualifications - 8+ years of professional game development experience, demonstrating a consistent track record of driving results, iterating on process, and owning major game features and experiences. - Experience working on at least 3 shipped titles, with a proven ability in driving macro-level vision, establishing pipelines, and guiding cross-functional teams from concept to final release. - Exceptional ability to tackle highly complex, cross-discipline problems where no established pipeline exists, turning ambiguity into actionable strategies. - Mastery of virtual spaces, pacing, flow, immersion, player motivation, and aesthetics. - Proven leadership in collaborating across disciplines in both internal and external teams. - Excellent active communication skills, capable of pitching, defending, and driving consensus on high-level design decisions. - Expert understanding of technical concepts, logic, logic flow, and systemic game design. - Expert mastery of Unreal Engine and its development environment, with a track record of pushing the engine's capabilities. Requirements - NICE TO HAVE: AAA experience. - While Unreal is our primary focus, experience with Unity or proprietary custom engines is a strong plus. - Experience developing on console. - At least one shipped title. Title: CAD Designer Location: United States Job Category: Product Development Requisition Number: CADDE006655 Job Description: This is a hybrid role with three weeks per month onsite (Mon. - Thurs.). The fourth week is fully remote. The CAD Textile Designer is responsible for the creation of prints and patterns for all product categories under the direction of the CAD Manager and Design Directors. Artwork is created manually through drawing and hand painting, or via Computer Aided Design software including Kaledo (all modules), Photoshop , and Illustrator. Basis of prints can be original illustrations or existing/purchased artwork. CAD Textile Designer partners with team members in the execution of seasonal design projects to create artwork for products exclusive to Lands End. - Research print trends and collect materials for seasonal inspiration and product direction. - Collaborate on seasonal concept prints in support of the Concept Team under the direction of the Sr CAD Manager and Design Directors. - Build out the Seasonal Concept Room. This will consist of printing, trimming and prepping tools for the presentation: CADs in correct sizes & colorways with identifying style & color numbers attached. There will be extended work hours in the 2 weeks leading up to the Seasonal Concept meetings. - Make record of all prints in Final Concept presentation post Concept meeting. Recreate presentation on MIRO Board and print copies for CAD team boards. - Collaborate with Apparel Designers to create additional artwork for divisional needs post concept by changing layouts, color, size, rotation or placement of elements as requested for specific fabrications/product categories. - Develop all colorways for artwork using Lands End seasonal palettes. Print and/or post to Miro as needed. Communicate to CFPs as needed. Maintain divisional palettes. - Anticipate, identify and problem solve production issues to ensure design intent is preserved. - Once artwork is approved by Design partners, export to Sharepoint so that CFPs can share with our vendors. - Contribute to comments of strike off execution as requested by the color team. - Communicate and build relationships with cross functional partners (Design, PD, Merch). - Maintain an organized personal workspace. - Maintain an organized MIRO workspace - this is where you will collaborate with your cross functional design partners. - Help maintain the Epson printers. - Attend milestone meetings for print/pattern. Articulate design direction and point of view. Present in place of CAD Team Manager as needed. - Attend weekly divisional meetings as needed - Develop and coach assistant and associate CAD designers. Skills: - Expert in Computer Design Programs.
