The Team Upstart’s Investor Services team oversees Upstart’s strategic partnerships with institutional investors and manages the day-to-day operations supporting Upstart’s loan funding programs. The team plays a critical role in ensuring investors receive a consistent, thorough, and timely diligence experience while supporting scalable growth of Upstart’s capital markets platform. As the Investor Services Associate - Diligence at Upstart, you will support institutional investors and partners by managing diligence requests, audits, and related workflows. You will work cross-functionally to coordinate responses, track deliverables, and help ensure Upstart delivers a seamless and high-quality diligence experience to current and prospective partners. This role is available in the following locations: Remote Time Zone Requirements - Travel Requirements - As a digital first company, the majority of your work can be accomplished remotely. The majority of our employees can live and work anywhere in the U.S but are encouraged to to still spend high quality time in-person collaborating via regular onsites. The in-person sessions’ cadence varies depending on the team and role; most teams meet once or twice per quarter for 2-4 consecutive days at a time. How you’ll make an impact: Serve as a point of contact for investor and partner diligence requests, including questionnaires, audits, and RFPs Manage diligence workflows end-to-end, tracking requests, deadlines, and deliverables across internal teams Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Capital Markets, Finance, Operations, and Engineering to gather and validate responses Maintain diligence materials, tools, and documentation to support repeatable and efficient processes Communicate status updates and escalate risks or delays to ensure timely completion of diligence activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve diligence processes through documentation, tooling, and automation What we’re looking for: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 1+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, audit, consulting, or loan funding operations Experience supporting diligence questionnaires, audits, or external information requestsExperience working cross-functionally to manage deadlines and deliverables Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting institutional investors, auditors, or external partners Knowledge of loan funding programs, capital markets operations, or investor reporting Familiarity with diligence management tools or document repositoriesAbility to manage multiple concurrent requests in a deadline-driven environmentExperience improving or documenting operational processes #LI-REMOTE #LI-Associate At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
