About the role: Juno Beach, FL 33408. Remote work is okay. We're looking for a Project Engineer-Solar on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) You will support solar farm design and construction. You will manage 3rd party contractor teams to develop engineering designs for solar projects. Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning and require coordination with diverse project team members such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers for both early stage and construction. Location: Juno Beach, FL 33408. Remote work is okay. We are looking for candidates who live in or near Florida. Even if remote, candidates would be expected to travel to the office in Juno Beach periodically. Trips to Juno Beach would be more frequent in the first 3-6 months as the candidate settles into the role. Key Responsibilities: - You will use your experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with thorough knowledge of the various applicable engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials. - You will have outstanding verbal and written skills, along with a record of coordinating project team members and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve team goals. - You will have experience managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects. Qualifications: - Education: Minimum -Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Discipline can be electrical, civil, mechanical, aerospace or chemical. - Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience. - Exceptions can be made for less than 5 years if that experience is a good match - Engineering and project management experience on utility scale solar projects is preferred - Engineering and project management in the following fields may also be considered: - *DG/commercial solar - *Other technologies in the power industry – wind, BESS, combined cycle, nuclear, hydrogen, substation, transmission, etc - *Strong candidates with experience outside of the power industry (aerospace, civil/stormwater, etc) Our Safety Pledge to You: If you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
