Job Description

External Reporting Accountant

TruStage

• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting past and future business performance through financial reporting • Communicate findings and impacts effectively to customers and management • Provide comprehensive support to a broad customer group and improve processes within the reporting and accounting teams • Collaborate with the Finance organization to provide Accounting and Finance guidance to customers • Develop, maintain and discuss various reports with the reporting team • Provide analysis and explain results to clients • Build relationships with assigned clients and provide requested support • Collaborate with others in a team setting • Research new tools and evaluate opportunities to improve business processes • Participate in the selection of tools for the reporting area • Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual financial statements with required disclosures • Work with external auditors in the completion of the financial statement audits • Assist in the completion of statutory and GAAP consolidation processes • Identify and research accounting issues for compliance • Assist in the improvement and automation of current reporting processes. • Provide support and maintain automated reporting processes. • Assist with special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial discipline
  • Previous experience (1-5 years) in finance or accounting role preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, such as Excel, Power Query, Access
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting principles (SAP)
  • Effective written and verbal communications
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements
  • Proven ability to work effectively with team members
  • Familiar with Financial Reporting tools
  • Workday, Workday Reporting tools (Office Connect) experience preferred.
