National Industrial Account Manager
Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including relationship building, listing presentations, execution, POS forecasting, business reviews, and promotional planning. • Cultivate and manage relationships with key distribution customer stakeholders, including Sales VPs, Vertical Directors, Corporate Account Managers, National Account Managers, and Tools & Safety Managers. • Identify key end-user conversion opportunities, implement strategy at the headquarters level, and partner with sellers and the Industrial Account Manager team to execute in the field. • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key personnel within assigned accounts through regular planning and communication. • Drive new product listings and execute promotional rollout plans to achieve national exposure for launches. • Negotiate annual customer VBA agreements and review business performance monthly and quarterly to ensure growth targets are achieved. • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Channel, Finance, Supply Chain, Forecasting/Demand Planning, and Credit, to ensure consistency and transparency in communication. • Work with Sales and Marketing teams to create and execute field programs, events, promotions, and training initiatives that drive sales and educate end users on SBD product lines. • Coordinate and execute field support plans with the Industrial Account Manager team while effectively managing marketing, promotional, and T&E budgets and maintaining awareness of competitive activity.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of sales or marketing experience within the construction and industrial channels.
- Prior sales management and key account management experience.
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to understand customer needs, solve problems proactively, and deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to travel up to 60% with a valid driver’s license.
