Lead Housekeeper

• Physically carries out as well as helps direct the activities of those involved in providing a variety of industrial housekeeping services. • Provides a broad variety of cleaning projects and services required to maintain cleanliness, efficiency, and livability of commercial/industrial facilities. • Operates and directs the activities of a commissary facility. • Accountable for meeting all obligations of assigned employees. • Proven track record in successful leadership and management in a Camp Environment. • Documented Safety Training and Safety compliance in a leadership role. • Helps direct and guide assigned housekeeping and janitorial employees. • Helps train new staff and provides ongoing training to existing staff. • Regularly conducts inspections to maintain the quality of provided services. • Coordinates associated equipment care and maintenance. • Conducts safety meetings and ensures daily operations comply with safety requirements. • Resolves minor maintenance or client emergencies as they occur.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year experience in commercial cleaning.
  • At least one (1) year experience in commercial housekeeping.
  • At least one (1) year verifiable supervisory experience in housekeeping, janitorial or the hospitality industry.
  • Basic skills operating Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
  • Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
  • Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities - Plays a critical role in meeting or exceeding performance expectations related to access, patient flow, and timely, efficient, and cost-effective processes throughout the VISN 4 CCC's and local medical centers. Administrative Management - Utilizes a broad knowledge of VA manuals, public laws, and VA regulations as applicable to assigned projects. - Attends committee meetings concerning staff, training, budget, etc. - Oversees/coordinated the personnel management program and initiatives for their respective service. - Serves as the service POC for Human Resource related issues and acts as a liaison in matters pertaining to staffing and employee/labor relations. - Assists in the development of performance pay criteria. - Assists in the development and coordination of employee schedules and ensures timecards reflect authorized schedules. - Provides guidance on routine aspects of tasks to support established quality and productivity programs. - Participates in developing short and long-range goals and provides guidance for the organization's quality assurance plan. - Collects data and analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues. - Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data for CCC leadership and stakeholders.
