• Oversees all aspects of the financial accounting process including general ledger maintenance; journal entry review monthly close; balance sheet reconciliation; financial reporting, and budget variance analysis for all AHS entities • Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies • Assists Controller in coordinating the annual budget process • Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud through highly structured internal controls
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field of study
- Strong and demonstrated working knowledge of GAAP and accounting skills
- Highly analytical and ability to evaluate complex accounting and financial data with limited supervision
- Self-motivated and proactive team player who works independently and takes ownership of and accountability for assigned tasks
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Highly detail oriented
