Job Description

Parcel Systems Analyst

Stord

Role Description As a Parcel Systems Analyst, you’ll own the core systems, data integrity, and configuration logic that power Stord’s parcel network. You’ll be the go-to expert for turning client requirements and carrier rules into accurate, scalable, and auditable system configurations. This role sits at the intersection of operations, product, engineering, and client experience, ensuring we launch new customers and carriers cleanly, maintain the accuracy and efficiency of our rate engine, and support our parcel network as we continue to scale. You’ll thrive here if you love solving complex configuration puzzles, building structure from ambiguity or uncertainty, and creating repeatable systems that reduce errors and unlock scale. What You’ll Do - Own Client & Carrier Onboarding - Lead the full Parcel configuration lifecycle for new client launches. - Translate sales, client, and ops requirements into clean, accurate system setups. - Partner with GTM, Engineering, Implementations teams to ensure smooth go-lives. - Rate & Account Configuration - Configure and maintain carrier contracts, custom billing setups, and rate logic across Stord’s parcel systems. - Own accuracy for 300+ customer and carrier configurations and 130+ billing configurations, with audit support from the Parcel Systems Program Manager. - Ensure all rate changes, migrations, and go-lives follow controlled, documented processes. - Systems & Process Documentation - Build and maintain scalable SOPs for configuration workflows, migrations, and rate updates. - Create structure and clarity around unwritten or legacy processes. - Identify failure points, close documentation gaps, and drive process standardization across the program. - Operational & Technical Support - Support Parcel Experience Specialists with system updates, configuration changes, and issue investigation. - Assist with data tracking for strategic initiatives and provide insights to leadership as needed. - Troubleshoot carrier API integrations and rate engine discrepancies with a structured, root-cause-first approach. - Project Management - Manage multi-phase configuration projects (including M&A migrations) end-to-end. - Build project plans independently and keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned. - Ensure tasks stay on scope, on timeline, and fully documented. Qualifications - Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining a TMS/WMS or a similar logistics system. - Strong understanding of how front-end requests translate into back-end logic (rates, rules, accounts, carriers). - Familiarity with API’s, JSON, and other systems communication protocols and formats. - Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced lookups, data validation, complex tables). - Experience managing large datasets with a high bar for accuracy. - Basic SQL or database query experience for troubleshooting and validation (preferred). - Familiarity with carrier API integrations (FedEx, USPS, UPS) and how accounts, credentials, and rate structures connect into a system. - Proven ability to turn messy, tribal-knowledge workflows into clear, scalable SOPs. - Strong analytical instincts with the ability to pinpoint the true source of system or data issues. - Understanding of parcel carrier structures (service levels, billing logic, GRIs, surcharges, DIM weight). - Skilled at translating complex technical requirements into clear updates for both technical and non-technical audiences. Requirements - Ability to quickly diagnose issues tied to API failures, misconfigurations, or version mismatches. - Comfort building process maps, defining standards, and driving consistency across teams. - Comfortable navigating ambiguous problems and designing solutions that prevent recurrence. - Extreme Attention to Detail: Understanding that accuracy in rate and contract configuration prevents significant downstream financial risk.
