You’ll help freelancers and sole proprietors stay compliant, handling daily client inquiries, documentation, and filings. This role is fully hands-on and client-facing, focused on practical support rather than corporate tax work. You’ll support customers with cross-border and foreign asset–related tax questions, primarily through client tickets, both during registration and throughout the year. You’ll have the opportunity to work and collaborate remotely with our international team, working in English and contributing your insights to improve internal processes and shape the Xolo platform. - Guiding our customers through the Italian tax landscape, with a focus on freelancers and sole proprietors operating under the regime forfettario, regime semplificato, or any other. - Advising clients on tax-related topics during onboarding and throughout their time with Xolo, offering clear and practical guidance. - Assisting with voluntary settlements or corrections for late tax payments or compliance issues. - Collaborating with internal teams and participating in regular syncs to ensure seamless service delivery. - Contributing your insights to help shape and improve our Italian platform and operational workflows. - Maintaining accurate client records across platforms such as TS Digital and other internal tools. - Preparing and filing all required tax documents, including (but not limited to) quarterly VAT reports, Intrastat declarations, and annual income tax returns. - Handling all essential registrations with public bodies such as VAT, INPS, INAIL, and the Chamber of Commerce, based on the client’s business structure and needs. Qualifications - Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field. - Qualification as Dottore Commercialista (Dr. Commercialista) in Italy. - 3+ years of hands-on experience in Italian tax compliance, particularly with freelancers, self-employed professionals, and expat clients. - Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken, C1 or above). - Excellent knowledge of the Regime Forfettario and Semplificato and standard freelancer tax obligations. - Strong knowledge of Regime Forfettario, Regime Semplificato, VAT, INPS, and Italian taxation for expat clients. - Must have experience handling Chamber of Commerce processes. - Ability to communicate complex tax topics in simple terms to non-accountants. - Comfortable working fully remotely and collaborating with international teams. - Proficient with accounting tools (experience with TeamSystem is a plus). Benefits - Choose between health insurance or a sports membership. - Enjoy a one-time home office setup bonus. - Receive a monthly remote work allowance. - Participate in our annual company summer event in Estonia. Company Description At Xolo, we believe solopreneurs deserve better. We've spent the last decade simplifying entrepreneurship - removing bureaucracy, automating admin, and enabling thousands of people across the globe to build and run their businesses on their own terms. Our pioneering products are designed for freelancers, consultants, and microentrepreneurs who want to focus on their craft - not the paperwork.
