Role Description This position is part of the Patient Experience Team and provides dedicated graphic and multimedia design support for digital and print materials. The incumbent is part of an in-house design lab for products, programs, and processes that support system learning, improvement, and community within University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics. This position is not responsible for providing patient care. Responsibilities - Develops a wide range of digital and print graphics for programs, websites, and social media, including headers, body images, data visualizations, and supporting instructional design materials (handouts, presentation slides, signage, flyers, etc.). - Works alongside senior design colleagues and expanded team members to ensure that graphic and multimedia design needs are met through innovative, conceptual, and creative print and digital graphics for collateral across the organization. - Contributes insightful and skilled recommendations to collaboratively achieve brand-centric designs and design strategy. - Reviews designs for errors before printing or publishing. - Organizes design files/folders. - Supports and assists with department-sponsored events, including providing in-person support and collateral creation. - Maintains awareness of current design industry standards and possesses the ability to confidently and professionally present and/or articulate ideas and concepts. - Supports other departmental functions, as required. Qualifications - Associate's degree or equivalency. - Two years of professional graphic and multimedia experience. Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge in HTML and CSS. - Photo and editing skills. - Experience with Adobe Figma virtual co-design platform. Role Description As a senior software engineer, you'll be stepping into a small, dynamic team in its scale-up phase. The engineering team is currently ~12 members strong and is led by the organization's CTO. The team allocates cycles to the projects with the largest market opportunity, and engineers move between projects in response to demand, as they share an underlying tech stack. Hiring is underway to accelerate the development of a highly anticipated visual content generation product with a full order book. Key responsibilities - Full stack software engineering: - Design and implement a wide variety of services including APIs, customer-facing dashboards, virtual browser orchestration services, and web scrapers. - System scalability & performance engineering: - Participate in technical design discussions to ensure systems scale effectively as usage volumes and feature complexity grow. - Prompt engineering: - Fine-tune LLM and VLM prompts to generate high quality text and visual content. - Cross-functional collaboration: - Work closely with product designers and customer-facing teams to ensure delivery roadmaps are aligned with market demand and customer feedback. - Continuous learning & adaptability: - Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices; experiment with new approaches to improve efficiency and strengthen the services over time.
