As a Tax Senior Manager for Private Foundations, you’ll be at the forefront of consulting and advisory work—helping clients with private operating foundations, foreign filings, alternative investments, and multi-state compliance. Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to: - Manage client engagements by ensuring proper planning and execution in accordance with professional and firm standards for quality and efficiency. - Communicate with clients to determine timelines, schedule staff, oversee and supervise staff performance during engagement, review staff work, provide technical assistance when required. - Perform thorough technical review of tax returns and work papers at a level which prevents issues from being missed. - Approve to process tax returns and consulting work. - Ensure engagement deliverables are produced and delivered to client within agreed upon time frame and in accordance with applicable professional and firm quality assurance standards. - Serve as a technical resource for managers, seniors and associates, as well as clients, in area of specialization and expertise. - Identify new technical issues in specialty area and take initiative to communicate with others on staff to increase awareness and understanding of the issue(s). - Conduct sophisticated tax research, consulting and analysis to plan transactions and to resolve compliance issues. - Provide consulting services to clients in area of specialization to provide business advice related to tax planning and compliance and related areas. - Assist clients with all aspects of IRS examinations, appeals and other practices which include researching and analyzing tax issues, and writing technical tax memoranda. - Participate in activities which support practice development and firm growth strategies and goals. - Assist shareholders in preparation and presentation of new client proposals, identify and propose new work for existing clients and engage in professional activities such as writing and publishing articles, preparing and delivering speeches, teaching courses or attending professional events. - Lead on-going administrative duties/initiatives for the Tax department as assigned. - Develop and present in-house educational courses for staff that support organizational needs and provide on-going professional education. - Attend CPE courses for required professional development. - Provide input to assigned staff performance feedback upon completion of engagements. - Participate in a variety of department and organizational initiatives such as annual recruiting activities, or ad hoc task forces as assigned. - Engage in on-going communication throughout the year with clients to ensure relationship with them is maintained and enhanced. - Perform other duties as assigned by shareholders to support the needs of the organization. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field or a combination of education and directly related work experience. - CPA license or equivalent. - You must pass a credit check at any time to remain eligible for this position. Requirements - 8+ years’ progressively more responsible assignments in public accounting where a broad expertise in taxation and compliance can be demonstrated. - Demonstrated successful experience as a supervisor. We’re looking for an Indirect Taxes Analyst to manage VAT and indirect tax filings. This includes important EMEA countries and Latin American markets like Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
