The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) is recruiting for a Marketing Specialist to join our Communications and Outreach team. The successful applicant will: - Create marketing content for ACPE’s education loans, scholarship and grant programs, and Outreach resources. - Manage all of ACPE’s social media platforms. - Identify and develop strategic stakeholder content to inform and improve awareness and connection to ACPE, in support of ACPE’s Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision. ACPE values continuous learning and growth. ACPE hires engaged candidates who are willing to expand their knowledge and skills, and is willing to train the right candidates. Qualifications - Knowledge of marketing elements, such as SEO, social media, marketing research methods. - Knowledge of marketing data analytics & tools. - Knowledge of current state and national trends in higher education. - Knowledge of current state and national trends in social media development and implementation. - Knowledge of education challenges/barriers for low-income and first-generation college-going students, especially those unique to Alaska, its rural communities, and its native populations. - Skills in effective communications, both written and oral, including written summaries and analyses of complex information. - Skills in fostering and maintaining positive and professional interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. - Skills in prioritizing, persuasion, and negotiation. - Skills in problem identification and resolution. - Skills in MS Office and marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite). - Skills in applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.). - Skills in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners. - Skills in understanding and interpreting communications and applying appropriate policies, regulations, and laws. Requirements - Baccalaureate degree in related marketing/communications field or four years of relevant professional experience. - Directly relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-by-year basis. However, preference will be given to applicants meeting the degree requirement.
