Job Description

Senior IT Systems Administrator

XTEL

• Manage and continuously improve core Microsoft cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and related security capabilities • Oversee identity and access administration, including user lifecycle processes, dynamic groups, RBAC, conditional access, MFA, privileged access workflows, and device compliance policies • Support and improve endpoint management across Windows and macOS devices through Intune • Maintain and enhance Azure networking and VPN connectivity to support secure access across office and remote environments • Contribute to the administration and continuous improvement of security and compliance tooling, including Defender, Purview, Sentinel, and related monitoring workflows • Handle L2 and L3 escalated tickets across IT and closely related business support areas • Act as a primary or backup point of support during incident response activities • Support audit and compliance activities • Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and repeatable operational processes • Identify and implement automation opportunities using tools such as PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Logic Apps • Provide technical coverage for the Leuven office while also supporting employees across other locations

Job Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and endpoint management
  • Understanding of identity and access management, including conditional access, MFA, role-based permissions, and lifecycle administration
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices in a business environment using modern device management tools
  • Good knowledge of Azure networking, VPN connectivity, and secure access principles
  • Comfortable troubleshooting complex IT issues and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Desire to improve operational processes through scripting, automation, or workflow optimization
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English
  • Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft security and compliance tools such as Defender, Purview, or Sentinel; Familiarity with Azure DevOps administration; Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2; Microsoft certifications or similar relevant technical certifications
