Track Services, Crew Leader
Marmon Holdings, Inc.
• Lead and direct crews performing track construction and rail yard work • Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and staffing for projects • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with FRA rules and company procedures • Oversee daily crew activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety • Train and onboard new employees • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet timelines • Support cost control and efficient use of resources • Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification
- Ability to operate and train others on heavy equipment (backhoe, front-end loader)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and safety standards
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~75 lbs)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- FRA certification required when applicable
