Job Description

Product Owner

Evolent

• Serve as the Product Owner supporting the Partner Delivery provider data scrum team, driving scalable, configurable provider data pipeline solutions. • Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap in partnership with Product Managers and executive stakeholders. • Proactively identify opportunities to reimagine processes and introduce innovative solutions that improve scalability, flexibility, and client onboarding speed. • Translate client implementation requirements into user stories, data mapping requirements, and acceptance criteria. • Leverage modern tools—including LLMs and AI-assisted analysis—to accelerate requirements gathering, enhance product discovery, and improve solution design. • Champion a delivery model aligned to implementation milestones, go-live readiness, and client commitments—identify risks and gaps proactively, escalating and addressing them with guidance from leadership. • Develop subject matter expertise in provider data requirements, UM applications, partner integrations, and healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, EDI). • Own and maintain the product backlog, including prioritization, grooming, and sprint planning activities. • Support engineering with file transfer processes, data analysis, mapping requirements, and provider network design. • Work with cross-functional partners to bring clarity to ambiguous or evolving requirements, minimizing downstream rework. • Utilize AI-assisted tools to synthesize requirements, identify gaps, and improve documentation quality and speed. • Oversee technical specifications, release notes, and training materials. • Own user acceptance testing to ensure alignment with implementation requirements and stakeholder expectations. • Participate in production support, including issue reproduction, gap analysis, and resolution. • Build strong cross-functional relationships across product, data operations, and engineering teams. • Surface risks early, communicate trade-offs clearly, and manage stakeholder expectations. • Synthesize complex technical concepts into executive-level insights and support decision-making in steering committees. • Influence outcomes and drive alignment across stakeholders, even in complex or competing-priority environments. • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. • Drive standardization and optimization of provider data onboarding to reduce cycle time and improve quality. • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to modernize tools, workflows, and architecture. • Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI/LLM capabilities, to inform product strategy and delivery practices.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in healthcare technology, with knowledge of Provider Data Management, Implementations, Utilization Management, or Prior Authorization.
  • Experience working with agile teams to deliver data integration products.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter, proactively identifying problems and driving solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Experience or interest in using AI/LLM tools to support requirements gathering, product discovery, or solution design.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio).
