Role Description We're looking for a Senior Shopify Developer who will lead the development of custom Shopify themes and features, build and maintain third-party integrations, optimize storefront performance, support experimentation initiatives through A/B testing, and provide technical guidance to junior developers. The developer will work closely with a Tech Lead, Project Manager, and Designer within a dedicated pod while supporting multiple subscription-focused CPG brands. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks. - Build advanced Shopify features and custom storefront experiences. - Deliver complex Shopify projects from requirements gathering through deployment. - Optimize Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and conversion. - Build high-converting paid media landing pages. - Implement theme enhancements and conversion-focused storefront updates. - Execute technical implementations for conversion rate optimization initiatives. - Set up, manage, and deploy A/B tests using Intelligems. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement testing strategies. - Ensure accurate implementation and tracking of experiments. - Design, build, and maintain integrations with third-party applications and services. - Develop and support subscription platform integrations, including Skio and ReCharge. - Troubleshoot and optimize API performance and reliability. - Work with Shopify APIs and external systems to streamline business operations. - Collaborate with the Tech Lead on technical architecture and implementation strategies. - Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance. - Leverage AI-powered tools to improve development efficiency and problem-solving. Qualifications - 5+ years of web development experience with significant Shopify development expertise. - Deep knowledge of Shopify architecture and Liquid templating. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks. - Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive development. - Experience implementing and managing A/B testing programs. - Strong experience with Shopify APIs and custom API integrations. - Expert-level GitHub knowledge, including: - Version control best practices - Pull requests - Branching strategies - Code reviews - Collaborative development workflows - Experience debugging and optimizing Shopify storefront performance.
