Senior Software Engineer, Python – Integrations

Filigran

• Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using Python to connect OpenAEV and OpenCTI with external platforms and services • Proficient in investigating and analyzing APIs to gain a comprehensive understanding of external systems. • Skilled at exploring third-party APIs and interpreting their functionality to integrate with remote systems effectively. • Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to gather requirements and define integration strategies • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of integration solutions through best coding practices and architecture decisions • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve integration issues to maintain seamless system interoperability • Write and maintain clear technical documentation for integration processes, APIs, and workflows • Review code and provide mentorship to other engineers to promote knowledge sharing and high-quality standards • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose improvements to enhance integration capabilities • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and integration frameworks

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Python and system integration
  • Strong technical skills in Python, API design, and integrating complex platforms
  • Strong interest in AI and its applications in cybersecurity
  • Comfortable working with and leveraging AI-powered tools (LLMs, automation, copilots, etc.) to improve workflows and productivity
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a remote, async-first environment and collaborating across time zones
  • Bonus: Experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, experience with or interest in OpenBAS, OpenCTI, or similar integration platforms, security in integrations, or mentoring junior engineers

Role Description GovCIO is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer (Remote) to lead white glove support for customers adopting cloud solutions as part of VA’s Data Modernization initiative. This position will be fully remote located within the United States. - Help VA users get over the technology hump by getting them access to the data and delivering the appropriate business requirements. - Act as subject matter experts to the workgroups from start to finish in their migration to the cloud. - Fully build out a best practices knowledge base for in which all workgroups can benefit. - Attend and actively respond to workgroup questions on weekly feedback and center of excellence calls. - Help workgroups set up their resources and migrate their workloads. - Collaborate with the on-prem teams to decommission the necessary resources after migrations have been completed. - Report accomplishments to internal leadership to help show outcomes and benefits gained from provided dedicated support. - Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and system owners to ensure technical deliverables meet program requirements and timelines. - Manage competing priorities, handle research and response for all product line operations related data calls and provide ongoing progress reports. - Manage parallel projects under a complex program while also providing cross functional program level support.
