Systems Analysis Advisor

Role Description Provide production support, including troubleshooting and resolution of application issues in collaboration with technology and business partners through implementation, testing, and validation of solutions. - Coordinate with upstream and downstream system owners to resolve incidents, manage dependencies, and communicate change impacts. - Monitor and optimize job performance to ensure adherence to established SLAs and OLAs. Support daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business processes through close partnership with IT and business stakeholders. - Manage batch processing cycles, code deployments, and production release implementations. - Perform application health checks and proactively monitor system reliability, availability, and performance. Maintain application architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology roadmaps. - Identify, recommend, and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Decommission obsolete jobs, reports, and applications in accordance with retention and governance requirements. Maintain comprehensive system and operational documentation, including CMDB records, SMTD reviews, runbooks, and security architecture diagrams. - Ensure process documentation, procedures, and knowledge repositories remain accurate, current, and aligned with operational and technical changes. Partner with software vendors to resolve hosted application issues, including patching, packaging, upgrades, and firewall coordination. - Support infrastructure, security, and compliance assessments, including CSCI and CMDB Security Profile reviews. - Ensure adherence to regulatory and audit requirements, including SOX controls, CIP remediation, and segregation-of-duties compliance. Contribute to strategic initiatives and enterprise projects by providing technical expertise and operational support. - Maintain and enhance applications in response to evolving technology environments, including server upgrades and platform modernization efforts. - Design and implement small-scale enhancements to meet business needs and improve operational effectiveness. Plan, execute, and document disaster recovery testing to ensure application resilience and business continuity readiness. - Support cybersecurity and risk mitigation initiatives, including CIP programs and vulnerability remediation activities. Develop and deliver operational performance reports, management operating reviews (MORs), and weekly status reports (WSRs) for leadership. - Communicate system health, production incidents, risks, and continuous improvement opportunities to business and technology stakeholders. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of department, team, and organizational objectives. Qualifications - Strong technical proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies with a minimum of 8 plus years of enterprise application development and support experience, including: - IBM Mainframe - TSO/ISPF - COBOL - JCL - Experience with Endevor and code quality management tools. - Proven success supporting mission-critical applications, production operations, and IT-business collaboration within onshore/offshore delivery models. - Strong understanding of integrations across mainframe, Oracle, and distributed platforms. - Experience with enterprise job scheduling, monitoring, and automation tools. - Knowledge of industry-standard source control and software lifecycle management practices. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions. - Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including SOX and CIP. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels. - Strong documentation, organizational, time management, and relationship management skills. Requirements - Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in application and production support within a large-scale enterprise environment. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting applications and processes within Accounting, Finance, or related business functions. - Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong governance and compliance requirements. - Exposure to modernization initiatives, cloud integrations, or enterprise transformation programs. - Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.
