Occupational Health & Work Comp Advisor
Neogen Corporation
• Responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of Occupational Health and Workers' Compensation programs • Provide subject matter expertise in medical surveillance, claims, and compliance • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote injury prevention and return-to-work strategies • Manage Workers' Compensation programs and case management for claims • Conduct annual reviews of claim trends and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
Job Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Health, Nursing or other EHS disciplines
- 3 or more years of experience handling workers’ compensation indemnity claims of medium complexity/severity
- Current knowledge of laws and regulations governing worker and worksite health and safety, including OSHA, workers' compensation, ADA & FMLA
- Active RN license
- 3 or more years of occupational clinic or emergency room nursing experience
- Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Advisor I – Program Enrollment

• Advisor I, Admissions plays a pivotal role in the effective recruitment and enrollment of new learners at Nightingale College. • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective learners, delivering exceptional customer service while guiding applicants through the admissions process. • Responsible for collecting and assisting with the completion of the required admissions documents to meet compliance and accreditation standards. • Initiate outbound phone calls and handle inbound calls in response to inquiries each day to set appointments and conduct interviews with prospective learners. • Contact prospective learners to confirm and conduct scheduled appointments, ensuring all necessary information is communicated, any questions are addressed, and adherence to all compliance and accreditation standards is maintained. • Provide a daily activity report (DAR) to the Supervisor. • Generate leads by requesting referrals and enter all new inquiry information in the appropriate system. • Follow the contact strategy and track all correspondence with prospective learners in the appropriate system. • Utilize the Discover, Commit, Start Application process with prospective learners. • Assist prospective learners, learner families, and other relevant parties who may be involved in decision-making. • Invite qualified applicants to apply, ensuring they receive all necessary information and support throughout the application process. • Answer questions about the appropriate Nursing Program with accuracy. • Update and maintain learner records in the learner management system (LMS). • Review all required documentation needed for new learner enrollment, resolving any conflicting information in electronic files to ensure accreditation and compliance standards are met. • Collaborate with other functions to provide the highest level of service for enrolling learners. • Review the eLearn assessment results to evaluate and determine the suitability of prospective learners for admission to the college. • Participate in weekly Admissions meetings including 1:1s, coaching meetings, trainings, and team meetings. • Participate in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise.
