Job Description

Project Manager, Nurse Practitioner

Workforce and Community Education

• Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Community Affairs in Health, manage day-to-day operations for the Gloria J. McNeal Nurse Managed Clinic • Oversee clinic operations across multiple site locations in Los Angeles and San Diego • Manage the Electronic Health Record (HER) System (Practice Fusion) • Provide administrative and clinical support to advanced practice nurses and MSW students • Direct grant activities in collaboration with internal and external partners • Assist and monitor outcome reporting systems and communications with federal grant staff • Assist with budget and supporting grant objectives across the institution • Support scholarly and community engagement responsibilities, including data collection for UDS • Ensure the successful completion of all grant-funded activities in accordance with guidelines • Supervise the Nurse Practitioners and Community Health Administration Coordinator directly • Collaborate with project evaluator to support quarterly data collection and reporting processes

Job Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in healthcare or a related field, preferred
  • Master of Science in Nursing required
  • Current and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification and Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required
  • Active California furnishing number, National Provider Identifier (NPI), and DEA registration number required
  • Maintain current national and state board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved organization
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership required
  • At least 5 years of experience in higher education student success programming, grants management, or related work with Hispanic adult learners preferred
  • Experience coordinating or managing federal grant programs preferred
  • Background working in or with communities of color or other underserved populations preferred
  • Evidence of prior experience serving in a nurse faculty position preferred

Job Summary The Project Manager I implements complex IT solutions for healthcare provider customers, managing small to medium-sized software deployment projects from planning through successful delivery. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, including Imprivata employees, customer stakeholders, and third-party vendors, while overseeing project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications. The ideal candidate has foundational project management experience supporting software implementation or similar technology projects and is committed to delivering high-quality customer outcomes. As a customer-facing role supporting French-speaking clients, native-level fluency in spoken and written French is required, along with strong English communication skills; advanced German language skills are highly desirable to support customers across multiple European regions. The Project Manager also maintains project documentation, facilitates status meetings, and contributes to the continuous improvement of Professional Services delivery methodologies and best practices.
