Role Description The Head of Talent Acquisition plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing Tropicana Brands Group’s talent acquisition strategy across the United States. Reporting to the Sr Director, Global Talent, this role leads a team of Talent Acquisition professionals responsible for attracting, assessing, and hiring top talent across corporate, commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and functional business groups. The ideal candidate combines strategic recruiting expertise with operational excellence, delivering innovative hiring solutions that strengthen organizational capability while ensuring an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience. - Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters, and Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. - Serve as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders, providing consultative guidance on recruiting strategies, talent market conditions, organizational hiring priorities, and competitive talent intelligence. - Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for executive, leadership, and critical business roles across corporate, commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and functional teams. - Partner directly with senior executives and hiring leaders to define role requirements, build talent profiles, develop search strategies, and deliver high-quality candidate slates for key leadership positions. - Develop innovative and creative recruiting strategies to attract manufacturing talent, including skilled trades, maintenance, engineering, operations, quality, warehouse, and plant leadership positions in competitive labor markets. - Coach and develop Talent Acquisition team members on advanced manufacturing recruiting techniques, non-traditional sourcing strategies, talent mapping, labor market intelligence, community engagement, and pipeline development practices to build long-term organizational recruiting capability. - Lead and continuously improve recruiting processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, compliance, and a best-in-class hiring manager and candidate experience. - Manage relationships and performance of external recruiting partners, search firms, staffing agencies, contingent labor providers, recruitment advertising vendors, and background screening partners, ensuring service levels, quality standards, and budget expectations are met. - Oversee contract labor and contingent workforce recruiting strategies in partnership with business leaders, HR, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure effective staffing solutions across manufacturing and operational environments. - Negotiate vendor agreements, service level expectations, and recruiting partnerships while driving accountability and maximizing return on investment. - Leverage recruiting analytics and market intelligence to identify hiring trends, improve recruiting effectiveness, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. - Lead talent acquisition projects and process improvement initiatives, including ATS optimization, recruitment technology enhancements, interview process standardization, and automation opportunities. - Develop and deliver interviewer training, selection best practices, and candidate assessment methodologies that improve hiring quality and consistency across the organization. - Champion an exceptional candidate experience from initial engagement through onboarding, ensuring a seamless, professional, and high-touch recruitment process. - Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to support organizational growth initiatives, succession needs, restructuring activities, acquisitions, and other strategic talent initiatives as required. - Support broader HR process improvement initiatives, including evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization of recruiting technologies and AI-enabled tools. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. - 8+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience in an in-house, corporate setting ideally with experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. - 3+ years of people leadership experience managing recruiters, coordinators, or talent acquisition teams. - Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing recruitment, skilled trades hiring, and talent acquisition strategies for plant-based operations. - Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise recruiting strategies across multiple business functions. - Strong knowledge of talent acquisition operations, tools and technologies, ideally UKG Pro, executive recruitment, labor market intelligence, sourcing methodologies, and recruiting analytics. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruiting data, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to analyze recruitment data, create executive dashboards, and develop leadership presentations. - Exceptional project management and organizational skills, including the ability to lead complex talent acquisition initiatives, manage competing priorities across multiple business functions, coordinate stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. - Excellent skills in leadership, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building, leading change, driving process improvement, and implementing scalable recruiting solutions. - Experience managing external recruiting vendors, executive search firms, staffing agencies, contingent labor providers, and recruiting-related contracts. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. - Must be located in Chicago, IL or surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment (or remote, as applicable). - Travel up to 10% to other Tropicana locations, as needed.
