Return-to-Work Representative
Sedgwick
• To negotiate, facilitate and monitor successful return-to-work of claimants within appropriate disability duration guidelines • Assist case management staff with client competence decisions for individual positions • Determine objective, quantifiable, medically supported work restrictions for assigned claims • Facilitate return-to-work (RTW) and accommodation efforts through negotiation with client, treatment provider and claimant • Complete all accommodation/RTW related jurisdictional or client directed documentation, notification, or reporting • Document client contact in claim notes as per Sedgwick CMS standards • Adhere to medical and legal regulations and accreditation standards in written communication • Contact employers to determine specific information regarding employment area • Ascertain the specific physical tolerances, vocational skills and essential job functions needed for specific employment positions • Recommend necessary adaptive equipment as needed • Maintain regular contact with clients following placement as per program guidelines
Job Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Three (3) years of related experience including one (1) year of return-to-work or job accommodation experience or three (3) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Working knowledge of return-to-work or job accommodation procedures
- Good technical knowledge of claims management procedures
- Excellent oral and written communications, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills

• Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance to customer’s equipment including flooded and sealed batteries, chargers and DC power distribution equipment (cable trays, battery racks and power cables). • Interacts with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company. • Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers. • Performs Preventative Maintenance inspections of customers’ batteries, chargers, battery handling equipment, and battery changing/charging area and records data. • Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch. • Determines specific gravity of solution. Waters, washes, cleans, and neutralizes customers’ batteries at customers' location. • Installs equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications. • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment. • Maintains records of performance reports. • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer. • Occasionally download battery and charger data via a monitoring device and use the information to repair or correct battery/charger problems in accordance with the customer’s operation. • Occasionally report to local EnerSys Service Center for mandatory training, inventory, parts pick up/drop off, etc.
