Job Purpose The Technical Sales Representative – National Accounts is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic national customer relationships. This role focuses on securing national account agreements, driving revenue growth, and serving as a technical and commercial subject-matter expert for assigned accounts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Achieve or exceed assigned sales, service, and contract objectives - Identify, qualify, and profile national and major account opportunities - Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships at multiple organizational levels - Partner with senior leadership on contract development, negotiation, and execution - Collaborate with internal sales and service teams to ensure consistent account support - Act as a product and technical specialist to drive solution-based selling and margin growth - Deliver product training and consistent product messaging to field sales and service teams - Stay informed on competitor offerings, market trends, and industry developments - Support field teams with competitive product positioning and customer inquiries - Communicate regularly with corporate and field locations regarding product updates, applications, and warranty concerns - Monitor expenses and operate within established budgets - Prepare activity reports and account updates following customer engagements - Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field - Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience - Proven ability to manage complex accounts and close contracts - Strong technical aptitude with experience translating product specifications into customer solutions - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities - Proficiency with standard business and sales software tools - Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage priorities effectively Preferred Qaulifications: - Experience managing national or strategic accounts - Background in material handling, energy systems, or industrial products Travel Required: 30%-50% per month General Job Requirements - This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
