Executive Compensation Director

• Lead the preparation and delivery of Compensation Committee materials to executive staff in close partnership with the GVP of Total Rewards • Own the narrative, analysis, and design of all executive pay materials from first draft through final presentation • Ensure decks are analytically rigorous, visually clear, and defensible to a board audience • Drive the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of executive compensation programs globally • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on pay philosophy, market competitiveness, and program effectiveness • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities and bring forward recommendations with supporting analysis • Lead market benchmarking efforts in collaboration with our executive compensation consulting firm • Manage the external consulting relationship — set scope, direct analysis, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations • Monitor market trends and peer practices to ensure our programs remain competitive and aligned with business strategy • Lead our equity strategy — analyze current program effectiveness and make recommendations on plan design, grant practices, and equity mix • Model equity plan scenarios and assess dilution, share pool utilization, and competitive positioning • Partner with Finance, Legal, and Stock Administration to ensure programs are operationally sound and compliant • Build and maintain executive compensation and equity models that support planning, forecasting, and decision-making • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that surface real-time program insights to HR and business leadership • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of all compensation data and processes
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Compensation, with at least 5 years focused on executive compensation and equity program design and delivery
- Proven track record presenting to or preparing materials for Compensation Committees or senior leadership
- Experience managing relationships with external compensation consultants and driving deliverables
- Expert-level financial modeling skills; able to build complex equity and compensation models from scratch
- Strong executive presence — you can hold your own with the C-suite and translate data into business language
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail; you catch what others miss
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity
- Excellent project and time management skills; you can run multiple workstreams simultaneously in a high paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making
