Senior Specialist, Project Scheduling and Project Controls in Plant Engineering

AFRY

• Preparation, development and maintenance of integrated project schedules for complex industrial and plant engineering projects across all project phases (from planning through execution) • Coordination and integration of sub-schedules from all project stakeholders (engineering, procurement, construction and external partners) into a consolidated master schedule • Execution of schedule control, including analysis of project progress, critical paths and deviations against the schedule baseline • Preparation of schedule and progress reports and communication of risks, opportunities and recommended actions to project management and the project team • Support for project management in scheduling strategies, change management and assessment of project impacts on milestones and the overall schedule • Application and further development of Lean methods and best practices in schedule management to optimize project workflows • Facilitation of scheduling and control workshops and serving as the central interface for all schedule planning matters within the project • Ensuring the quality, consistency and traceability of all schedule-related data and documentation

Job Requirements

  • Completed engineering degree (e.g., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering) and several years of professional experience in schedule management, preferably in industrial, plant engineering or energy projects
  • Solid experience in creating and controlling complex project schedules and in project management methods such as the Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Advantageous: experience in EPC/EPCM projects and collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Structured, independent and analytical working style with a strong solution orientation and the ability to maintain an overview in complex project situations
  • Very good knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project), experience in schedule controlling, reporting and analysis of project KPIs
  • Very good German and good English skills, confident use of MS Office and willingness to travel as required by project demands
