Accounting Operations, 6-Month Contract

Hopper

• Manage the full monthly partner billing cycle — collect partner-specific data, generate reports using existing tools, and coordinate internal review and approvals through to close • Handle communications with partners, including reviewing and sending billing emails and responding to partner inquiries • Analyze and investigate data discrepancies, resolve issues within your scope, and escalate pipeline problems with clear documentation • Create, issue, and follow up on partner invoices in NetSuite, match purchase orders to invoices, and confirm receipt and application of discounts • Complete vendor and customer setup during onboarding of new partners, including collecting required documents, tax forms, and banking details • Support month-end close with account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries • Maintain process documentation and assist with external audit requests as needed • Own ad hoc accounting and finance operations projects as needed.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations, with a proven track record of independently managing recurring cycles
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite AR and billing
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a monthly cycle under tight deadlines without daily supervision
  • Clear, professional written communication — you will be a direct point of contact for external partners
  • Methodical reconciliation mindset, comfortable identifying and resolving discrepancies across multiple data sources
  • Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery to investigate data issues independently before escalating (preferred)
  • Experience at a tech company, marketplace, or high-growth travel business (preferred)
  • Knowledge of partner billing structures based on revenue share, commissions, or other variable models (preferred)

Role Description We are seeking a Director, Enterprise AI Operations to lead the design and execution of AI operations across Forbes. This is an internal-facing role focused on transforming how teams operate, not building external AI products. This is not a traditional product role, and it is not an AI experimentation role. We are looking to operationalize AI across the company. This role is for a leader who has successfully driven operational transformation at scale and knows how to move organizations from ideas to adoption, and from tools to sustained behavioral change. Working closely with executive leadership, this person will help execute Forbes’s enterprise AI enablement & operational strategy by embedding AI into the core workflows that power Editorial, Audience, Revenue, and internal operations. Compensation The annual base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $195,000. Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith. The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate. In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
