Forward Deployed Engineer – Implementation Focus
Second Front Systems
• Serve as a key member of the owning technical aspects of direct customer deployment implementations • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of Second Front products and represent 2F internally and externally as a trusted subject matter expert on the Federal team • Identify areas for improvement in our onboarding or customer support processes and engage with product teams to align roadmaps with demand signals • Onboard our customers’ apps into GameWarden for security scanning, deployment configuration and development of accreditation products • Configure and perform customer deployments in the cloud environments • Work with on-premises hardware to prepare and install devices with secure OS and Kubernetes
Job Requirements
- Act as a vital team contributor, spearheading the technical execution for direct customer platform integrations
- Master the technical nuances of our toolset to serve as a high-impact subject matter expert for the Federal division
- Self-starter who can thrive independently and in team settings
- Strong client-facing operational experience, ideally within the Defense Industrial Base (partnerships, or customer success) who enjoys solving problems with customers to achieve mission success
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (certified or eager to certify)
- Hands-on experience with Linux installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Mid to Senior-level experience in technical roles (software engineering, sales engineering, technical product management) with proven problem-solving skills
- Hands-on software development, networking, or DevOps experience with cloud technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure environments
- Active Security Clearance (TS/SCI) or ability to obtain SCI
- Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices
- Ability to support occasional travel up to 25%

How You’ll Make an Impact - Grants Systems Management - Track deadlines, cycles, and reporting requirements across a centralized platform and calendar. - Gather program data, metrics, and narrative inputs cross-departmentally to support proposal and report development. - Maintain and update the Grants Airtable, including funder profiles, submission histories, outcomes, and more. - Follow the documented Development Protocol for the grant process, identifying gaps or improvements as needed. - Fundraising Operations - Maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records, including processing incoming gifts, and conduct routine data hygiene and reconciliation. - Generate reports, segments, contact lists, etc., to support fundraising and stewardship efforts and planning. - Support the management of the Development Airtables and assist with data imports into HubSpot. - Draft templates and workflows to standardize recurring fundraising processes and maintain related protocol documentation. - Donor and Stewardship Support - Support execution of annual fund campaigns, including planning, scheduling, and tracking performance and outcomes. - Coordinate logistics for stewardship touch points, including tax receipts, annual giving statements, thank-you videos, holiday cards, etc. - Support production of stewardship assets, including collateral for events and campaigns, donor communications, etc. - Monitor movement news and updates relevant to current donors, flagging timely engagement opportunities. • Building and configuring automation flows within the DigitalGenius platform to deliver the client's first live use case. • Fine-tuning AI behaviour and logic based on real customer interactions and feedback during the implementation window. • Integrating DG's platform with third-party customer service tools (e.g. Dixa, Zendesk, Salesforce) via APIs and webhooks. • Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and tailor our solutions to match their business needs. • Conducting training sessions and workshops to empower customers to utilize our solutions effectively. • Monitoring implementation progress and ensuring the timely delivery of projects. • Identifying and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise during the implementation phase. • Continuously gathering feedback from customers to improve the implementation process and enhance our offerings.
