Title: Executive Communications Lead Location: San Jose, California, United States; Vienna, Virginia, United States; New York, New York, United States; Morrisville, North Carolina, United States Job category: Marketing Job Description: Job Summary We are seeking a strategic and poised Executive Communications Lead to drive executive positioning for NetApp’s President, who leads the company’s worldwide go-to-market and sales organization. This role will leverage the President’s platform to grow NetApp’s reputation with key audiences, including customers, and drive business objectives. To achieve this goal, the Executive Communications Lead will develop and execute an integrated communications plan to reach and influence 360-degree (external and internal) audiences. This role is not an order-taker; setting strategic direction and providing counsel to executives is essential. This role supports a Spanish speaking executive. Spanish language proficiency is strongly preferred, with ability to support executive communications in Spanish speaking markets Job Requirements Executive Communications Strategy - Evolve and refine President’s positioning strategy to ensure it is robust, relevant, distinctive, and aligned to NetApp priorities - Proactively conceptualize and drive new external and internal opportunities, while vetting inbound/reactive opportunities, to ensure effective use of executive voice grounded in business strategy and impact - Provide strategic counsel and address potential communications risks, handling sensitive matters with discretion - Enhance executive messaging platform with compelling stories and proof points Program Management and Optimization - Serve as the integrator and point of contact for all communications matters pertaining to the President, ensuring strategic alignment and quality control - Drive executive communications plan and calendar of external and internal activations - Ensure executive communications are executed with flawless timeliness, preparation, and quality - Refine ways of working with stakeholders and SMEs to align and execute communications - Track communications KPIs and make data-driven recommendations Content Creation - Build and edit content in President’s voice for external and internal applications, such as slide presentations, keynote speeches, talking points, video scripts, bylined articles, blogs, and email announcements - Manage processes to collect information from SMEs, align multimedia assets, and route materials for review Education - Minimum of 12 years of applicable professional experience - Native or bilingual Spanish language proficiency - Experience advising C-level executives with composure and discretion - Experience working with technology sales and customer-facing organizations strongly preferred - Experience building and executing integrated plans encompassing both external and internal communications - Strong program management skills with ability to balance long-term and short-term priorities - Exceptional writing and presentation development skills with creativity and a keen eye for detail - Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Compensation: The target salary range for this position is 170,000 - 230,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
