Job Description

SMB Account Manager

Block

SMB Account Manager, France Company Description Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions - to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes - large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same. Job Description The Global Account Management team is looking for a customer focused Account Manager to support our SMB merchants in France. We're looking for someone energetic and hands-on, ready to go beyond the typical job description to retain and grow Square's largest French sellers. As the market in France continues to grow, you'll play an important role in representing the voice of the customer and tailoring strategies to meet local needs. In this role, you'll work closely with senior decision-makers and various cross-functional teams- including product, engineering, finance, implementation, marketing, operations, and sales-to support the growth and retention of French merchants. Your experience in account management will be essential for driving value and ensuring successful outcomes for our sellers. You will work with a portfolio of merchants, focusing on revenue retention and growth, while providing tailored solutions and strategic advice. You'll directly engage with sellers, lead business reviews, and develop processes and insights to scale your impact. You will also work closely with Enablement to contribute to coaching and training programs that enhance your skills and support the successful management of relationships with our largest strategic sellers. As a high-performing individual with experience in the SMB or enterprise space, you should have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, leading projects, building strong client relationships, and representing customer needs internally. Reporting to the Head of Account Management, Europe, you'll be part of a foundational team dedicated to nurturing some of Square's most valuable merchant partnerships in France, navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of the market to ensure the long-term success of our sellers. You Will: - Manage the retention and growth of an evolving portfolio of sellers in France - Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products through discovery, education, and onboarding support. Use Square's value selling methodology to negotiate custom pricing with SMB and strategic-level sellers - Understand customer needs and local market trends to ensure that Account Management and Square provide exceptional solutions for our sellers - Foster cross-functional collaboration. Work closely with our international Sales, Support and Product teams to help uncover and surface product requirements - Collaborate with the global account management team by sharing seller feedback, recommendations, operational requirements, and opportunities for growth You Have: - 2+ years experience in Sales or Account Management - Experience discovering and closing sales opportunities and building client relationships - Experience successfully managing a pipeline to achieve revenue targets - Strong track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals - Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams - Resilience in the face of adversity and are comfortable with ambiguity - Excellent communication skills - Business fluency in French and English Responsable de Comptes PME (SMB Account Manager) - France Description de l'entreprise Depuis notre création en 2009, le monde du commerce a profondément évolué, et Square a évolué avec lui.
