Legal Intern, Payments Product
Circle
• Supporting the Product Legal Team in advancing the Circle Payments Network and payments related initiatives. • Partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, compliance, and legal teams to identify and address legal, regulatory, and operational considerations. • Identifying and addressing legal, regulatory, and operational risks related to Circle payment product launches. • Contributing to the development of compliance and operational controls for CPN’s modular platform and marketplace. • Reviewing and analyzing product and technical documentation to ensure alignment with legal requirements. • Conducting regulatory research and producing clear legal analysis to support product decisions. • Preparing written briefings and summaries for senior product counsel and cross-functional partners.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment at a top law school (T-14 preferred) with strong academic performance.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity about stablecoins, payment systems, and blockchain fundamentals.
- Comfort reviewing and analyzing product and technical documentation with rigorous attention to detail.
- Strong legal research skills with the ability to produce clear, concise written legal analysis.
- Interest in regulatory research and commercial drafting in emerging financial technology environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.

• Serve as a key legal advisor to senior claims leadership, providing guidance on complex coverage matters. • Provide timely and well-reasoned legal coverage opinions on bodily injury and material damage claims under non-standard auto policies. • Analyze and interpret policy language, statutes, case law, and regulatory guidance across multiple jurisdictions. • Identify potential coverage issues and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. • Advise claims professionals on exposure, resolution strategies and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate extra-contractual liability. • Coordinate with outside counsel and provide litigation support. • Develop and deliver training programs and guidance documents for claims staff. • Monitor emerging legal issues and legislative changes impacting auto insurance. • Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to claims handling and coverage determinations.
