Regulatory Counsel

• Identify legal risk concerning healthcare regulations • Manage complex legal matters on behalf of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare • Provide risk assessments and counsel on compliance with healthcare operations and regulations • Educate personnel on changes in regulatory areas • Monitor legislative policies and advise senior management • Draft and review legal documents and transactions

Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate required
  • 5-7 years of experience as regulatory counsel
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws affecting healthcare organizations
  • Ability to prepare complex written materials
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Skills in negotiating and conflict resolution
  • Ability to plan and schedule tasks independently
