Job Description
GTM Engineer
SalesCaptain
Role Description Join the GTM Revolution at SalesCaptain — Where B2B Growth Happens. Since our beginnings in 2021, SalesCaptain has grown into a global force, working with fast-growing B2B brands, YC & Techstars startups, and Series B/C companies, helping them go to market using a predictable process. We're looking for a systems-obsessed GTM Engineer to own and architect our outbound revenue infrastructure across client accounts. This is a hands-on builder role, the person who sits at the intersection of data, automation, AI, and Outbound strategy, designing fully automated outbound systems that run at scale. This is a full-time, remote role, working EU hours. This role is perfect for someone who loves Clay, lead generation, data, research, and outbound systems. You will work closely with our GTM Strategists and Campaign Managers to turn ICPs into clean, accurate, campaign-ready lead lists. You will build Clay workflows, enrich data, identify the right companies and contacts, and help us improve the quality and speed of our outbound campaigns. We are not looking for someone who only scrapes random leads. We are looking for someone who understands why a lead is relevant, how to find better data, and how to build repeatable lead generation processes. What you’ll do ✨ - Architect end-to-end outbound systems: from ICP definition and TAM scoping all the way to campaign launch, CRM sync, and performance reporting - Build advanced Clay workflows: enrichment waterfalls, AI columns, Claygent researchers, conditional logic, custom API integrations - Design and implement signal-based triggers: job changes, funding rounds, hiring spikes, tech installs, web intent, and more (via RB2B, Trigify, Common Room, Clearbit, etc.) - Build multi-channel automation workflows using n8n, Make.com, and Zapier that connect data sources, enrichment layers, sequencers, and CRM - Use AI (Claude, GPT-4, and prompt engineering inside Clay) to generate hyper-personalized outreach at scale - Write lightweight scripts (Python/JS) or work with APIs directly when no-code tools aren't enough - Brief Outbound Strategists on new workflows, intent signals, and targeting approaches - Stay ahead of the tooling curve: test and adopt emerging data, enrichment, and AI tools before clients ask for them Qualifications - You have 2+ years of experience building outbound or revenue systems: ideally at a B2B agency, GTM consultancy, or fast-moving SaaS company - You're a Clay power user, you don't just know the basics, you've built complex workflows with AI columns, Claygent, waterfalls, and custom API integrations - You think in systems, not tasks. When you see a manual process, your first instinct is to automate it - You're technical without being a developer. Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, and JSON, and you can write a basic Python or JS snippet when no-code isn't enough - You have a commercial mindset. You understand what a good ICP looks like, why a message fails, and how outbound performance connects to pipeline - You're obsessed with the GTM tooling ecosystem. You follow Clay updates, test new enrichment tools before anyone asks, and have opinions on what's worth adopting - You have native or advanced English (C1–C2). You can communicate clearly with clients and brief strategists on complex workflows without losing them - You're self-directed and accountable. You can take a client brief, define the system architecture, and ship without hand-holding - You have experience in the Tech, SaaS, or B2B software space, you understand the buyers our clients are targeting - Open to candidates coming from RevOps, outbound operations, Clay consulting, or senior BDR/SDR roles who have made the shift into systems building Requirements - You are successful in this role if GTM Strategists trust your lists and data quality without needing to recheck everything. - Prospect lists are relevant, accurate, and campaign-ready. - Clay workflows are clean, cost-efficient, and structured. - You can explain why a company or contact fits the ICP. - You suggest better sourcing methods instead of only following instructions. - You help the team move faster without sacrificing quality. This role is not for you if - You have never used Clay before. - You only know basic manual LinkedIn scraping. - You care more about lead quantity than lead quality. - You need very detailed instructions for every list. - You are not comfortable with repetitive but detail-heavy data work. - You do not enjoy experimenting with new tools and workflows. Benefits - Remote work, no more commutes - Collaborative, friendly, and passionate team - Paid vacation, days off, and sick leave - Exciting team-building activities - Free books and Kindles to help you grow - Specialized training programs to become the strongest Clay and GTM expert - Opportunity to work with international B2B brands, startups, and scaleups - Exposure to modern AI, outbound, and GTM tools - A role where your ideas can directly affect business growth for your clients
