Procurement Manager, Industrial Packaging

• Lead all global procurement activities for industrial packaging, ensuring strong category strategy and competitive advantage. • Build and maintain deep understanding of supply markets, economics, technologies, and cost drivers relevant to IBC totes, plastic drums, and related components. • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to achieve optimal pricing, quality, reliability, and innovation. • Lead negotiation planning and execution for commercial terms and supply agreements, collaborating with operations, quality, legal and other internal partners. • Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and packaging rationalization initiatives to optimize total cost of ownership. • Partner with Supplier Quality to monitor performance, support audits, and ensure compliance with quality agreements. • Develop risk management strategies and ensure proactive mitigation planning for global supply continuity. • Strengthen supplier relationships, leveraging global synergies and promoting accountability through supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Procurement/Supply Chain, Engineering, Chemistry, Finance, or Business.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in procurement or engineering within an industrial packaging environment.
- Strong knowledge of commodity and engineered materials (e.g., HDPE/rHDPE, PP/rPP, thermoplastics, steel).
- Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiation.
- Experience working in regulated industries preferred.
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
