Mobile Crane Operator
Valard Construction LP
• Travel to project sites, rig up the crane and truck including pinning the boom and pendant cables and pulling the hoist cable in preparation for operation; set up the machine for lifts using blocking and leveling materials to ensure stability • Operate hoist and swing equipment to safely move machinery, materials, and large objects in accordance with weight certifications and applicable regulations • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections to ensure safe operation of crane and truck; complete all required daily documentation including truck and crane logs • Perform regular preventative maintenance on crane and truck in accordance with manufacturer recommendations • Ensure all equipment is loaded, rigged, hoisted, and secured properly; secure all equipment and attachments while in transit or left unattended • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulations • Maintain awareness of and adhere to all site safety policies and Valard's Health, Safety and Environmental standards
Job Requirements
- Journeyman Mobile Crane Operator certification or equivalent
- Valid Class 1 driver's licence with an acceptable driving record
- Experience operating mobile cranes and heavy equipment in a construction or industrial environment
- Experience on transmission line or utility construction projects
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulations governing crane and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to live and work at remote locations in a camp setting
- Ability to travel across Western Canada with flexibility to work in Eastern Canada as required
- Preferred Skills / Qualifications**
- Experience operating semi-trucks and other heavy equipment
- Previous pile driving experience

- This position offers a unionized base hourly rate of $49.12/hr with total compensation of $62.53/hr.

• Engage Gastroenterologists and other key customers within an assigned geographical universe • Present clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue • Develop strong working relationships with experts and all Gastroenterologists in assigned geography as well as nurses, office staff and other important health care personnel • Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and other personnel teams to proactively address customer needs • Participate and help lead initiatives to support sales success as assigned
• Supervise the operation of multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for workers compensation for clients • Monitor colleagues' workloads, provide training, and monitor individual claim activities • Provide technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication • Maintain a diary on claims in the teams including frequent diaries on complex or high exposure claims
